Extra Credit Opportunity!

Since you didn't get to take your Preposition and Conjunction Test BEFORE break, here's some studying that you can do to prepare for the test AFTER break. 

You will receive FIVE extra credit points if you play 30 MINUTES of any of the games listed below.  You DO NOT have to play the 30 minutes all at one time.  You will receive TEN extra credit points if you play ONE HOUR of the games listed below.  You can play any combination of the games, and you can play in multiple sessions. 

This extra credit MUST be completed by 7am on Monday, January 3rd! 

DO NOT FORGET TO SIGN IN to the games so I can see that you played.

Once you complete the extra credit, leave a comment on this post with your FIRST NAME and LAST INITIAL ONLY!

Your ten sentences can be about ANY topic, as long as it is school appropriate.

Things Not Seen Quiz #2

You will have your second Things Not Seen Quiz on Friday, November 12th.  In order to prepare for this quiz, you should familiarize yourself with the book, including the discussion questions we have covered in class.  You should also learn your vocabulary from Chapters Five through Fourteen.

Adjective Review!

Your Adjective Test will be NEXT WEEK!  In order to prepare, make sure that you are studying your notes.  Another way to prepare is to play the games from the blog or the PortaPortal site.  There are a BUNCH of games that you can play.  Remember, those students who have the most time in Quia receive extra smile tickets!

To play the Quia games, scroll down on the blog and find the post that is called "Adjective Quiz Friday!"  That has the links to a bunch of Quia games as the bottom. 

To play the other games, click on the link on the right side of the page that says "Ms. Schleicher's PortaPortal".  After you click that, you'll type in "kmschleicher" under the part where it says "Guest Access".

For THREE Smile Tickets, you must create a poster that shows the difference between the three adjective questions. 

In order to receive the Smile Tickets, your drawing must:
Be in full color
Be at least the size of a regular sheet of paper
Contain all three of the adjective questions and shows the difference between them

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY!

You have a new extra credit opportunity!  In order to earn TEN EXTRA CREDIT POINTS, you must create a poster or song that teaches us about nouns or pronouns.

In order to receive all ten extra credit points, your poster or song must:

Be completely accurate
Be turned in BY THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21st
Demonstrate effort
Posters must be of posterboard size
Songs must be at least one minute in length

This extra credit opportunity is DUE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21st.  Any submissions after that date will NOT be accepted.

If you choose to complete this extra credit opportunity, you will receive TEN EXTRA CREDIT POINTS toward your lowest test or project grade.  That could bump some of you up a letter grade!
