Spelling City

You will receive your Spelling Unit 2 packets in class on Monday.  I have created a great new resource for you on SpellingCity.com.

Go to Spelling City.  Click on the "Find a List" tab.  Search for my list using my last name as a search term.  Click on the link with my name.  If you scroll down, you will see a box that says "Spelling and Vocabulary Lists."  In this box, you will find a list for Spelling Unit 2.  You can use Spelling City to learn about your spelling words, quiz yourself, and play games with your words.  This resource will help you learn both how to spell the words and what the words mean.

Take advantage of this resource.  Many of you struggled on the last Spelling Test.  Spelling City provides many different ways to learn and practice with your spelling words.  I will create a list for each unit as we study new words.

Post a comment if you have any questions!

PortaPortal Site

There's a new link on the blog! On the right-hand side of the screen, under the "Quick Links" heading, you will see a link to "Ms. Schleicher's PortaPortal." I created a PortaPortal site to store several links all in one place.

If you click on the link, you will be asked to enter in as a guest (the box is in the lower right-hand corner of the screen). In order to log-in as a guest and see my PortaPortal site, you must enter in my username. The username is kmschleicher. Once you enter in that username, it will allow you to see my PortaPortal site and the links.

Click on the downward-facing arrow to see each section. There are links to databases, various resources, and games.

My PortaPortal site will continue to grow throughout the year. Please let me know if you find an awesome website that you think should be added to my PortaPortal site. There might be some smile tickets in order for a really great suggestion!

If you have any questions, just post a comment!
